Moms don’t add anything artificial into their babies’ food. So neither do we.
We select the best-quality ingredients we can find, staying close to home as we can but going where we need to in order to get the best quality.
We love food just the way it is and don’t want to do anything more than what’s necessary. So to avoid losing any nutrients or flavor, we blend our food before cooking.
Taking the air out means we don’t have to add artificial preservatives to keep the good stuff in, like vibrant color, natural aroma and thick texture. No other baby food company is able to make it this way.
We use indirect heat to cook our real food (kind of like Mom uses a double boiler sometimes) so that the flavor and nutrients don’t get watered down. Cook time varies according to the ingredients; Mom doesn’t cook a pear and a sweet potato the same length of time, so neither do we.
For most of our real food, we use recyclable glass made from pure, natural minerals that never affect the taste, smell or texture. Our new pouches are great options for Moms on the go; packed with organic goodness inside, we’ve created even more flavors to keep taste buds talking.
Beech-Nut® is pleased to announce that we are working with the Non-GMO Project and seeking verification for all our products. We believe the Non-GMO Project's seal is a good fit for our products, because the seal is trustworthy, defensible, transparent, and (most importantly) requires ongoing testing.
Fresh and safe are key – we map the entire U.S. to locate the cleanest soil and the best farms that share our vision to create the purest food for babies. It’s not easy—it takes guts and courage to undergo over 200 pesticide and soil tests, which is well beyond what the FDA requires.— Izabela, Director of Strategic Sourcing
