Beech-Nut’s Giving: Helping Hands 2025

Key Takeaways

Quick Overview
  • Beech-Nut's 2025 giving efforts included food distributions, disaster relief donations, SNAP family discounts, holiday meal support, and community sponsorships across local and national programs. The company donated over 177,000 cases of baby food and toddler snacks throughout the year, with contributions reaching families in the U.S. and internationally through partnerships with organizations like Convoy of Hope and the American Red Cross.
  • Food Donations: Beech-Nut donated over 177,000 cases of baby food and toddler snacks in 2025, split across disaster relief, food banks, local events, and international aid.
  • SNAP Support: During the 2025 government shutdown, Beech-Nut provided $100,000 in discounts to SNAP families at participating retailers and donated $164,000 worth of product to food banks.
  • Annual Food Drive: The 9th Annual Beech-Nut Gives Back event distributed 1,000 boxes of food—including Beech-Nut snacks, fresh produce, and shelf-stable items—to families in Montgomery County, N.Y.

As we reflect back on 2025, we’re proud to celebrate the heart of what makes Beech-Nut who we are: helping those around us through giving back and food donations. This commitment is more than an initiative, it’s a cornerstone of our values.

This year, the Beech-Nut’s Helping Hands team, led by Brittany Duncan, HR Manager, Supply Chain Business Partner, and Amanda Ettinger, Manager, Marketing Communications, along with many other Beech-Nut volunteers, made a significant impact in our local community & beyond. From supporting national disaster relief efforts to hosting our 9th Annual Beech-Nut Gives Back drive-thru food distribution event, and donating $100,000 in discounts to SNAP families during the government shutdown, these efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to giving back.

9th Annual Beech-Nut Gives Back

On September 24, we proudly hosted our ninth annual “Beech-Nut® Gives Back” drive-thru food distribution event, reaffirming our commitment to fighting food insecurity in Montgomery County, N.Y. The highly anticipated annual event provided 1,000 boxes of food to local families—each filled with Beech-Nut snacks, fresh produce, bread, and a variety of shelf stable products.

In the face of rising grocery prices and the uncertainty of SNAP benefits earlier this year, access to nutritious food has become harder for many. That’s why events like this matter so much. Our incredible Beech-Nut volunteers, joined by local and state officials, worked side by side to load cars and share their support for ending hunger in our community.

SNAP Assistance During the Government Shutdown

When the 2025 government shut down affected SNAP funding that millions of families rely on for essential nutrition, we sprang to action to assist families in need. In addition to donating $164,000 worth of baby food & toddler snacks to food banks & organizations, we are continuing to provide $100,000 of discounts to SNAP families at participating retailers—no questions asked.

City of Amsterdam Summer Camp

This year, our annual sponsorship of the City of Amsterdam Summer Camp reached new heights—thanks to the creativity and energy of our summer interns. Each intern designed a fun & engaging experience inspired by their internship and field of study. Campers had the opportunity to compete in relay races while suiting up in personal protective equipment, create new baby food flavors by mixing and matching their favorite combos, engineer a basic process with pool noodles to learn how factory equipment works, and explore chemistry through making ice cream. These activities not only sparked curiosity but also gave campers a glimpse into the science and creativity behind what we do at Beech-Nut.

Donations for Emergency Disaster Relief

Once again, we partnered with Convoy of Hope & @redcrossny to donate food to families across the country & abroad who were affected by natural disasters. Thanks to these partnerships, Beech-Nut snacks and pouches made their way to little ones in Jamaica, Missouri, and Los Angeles, among other affected areas.

Overall, in 2025, Beech-Nut donated over 177,000 cases of baby food & toddler snacks to:

  • Disaster Relief: 89,622 cases
  • Food Banks: 16,429 cases
  • Local Events: 4,420 cases
  • International Donations: 66,956 cases

Thanksgiving Meal Kits & Holiday Adopt-A-Family

The holiday season was filled with meaningful moments to help families in our local community through Thanksgiving meals kits and adopt-a family. Each meal kit included a grocery gift card to purchase a turkey as well as all the Thanksgiving trimmings—veggies, stuffing, cornbread, dessert, and holiday plates & napkins. Through our adopt-a-family initiative, we sponsored 11 children this holiday season with the hopes of putting big smiles on each of their faces.

Project Cameron’s Story

After struggling for months with severe Broncho-Pulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) and Pulmonary Hypertension, baby Cameron Jace Quartiers was readmitted to his nearby pediatric ICU. Unable hold & comfort her newborn, Sara Quartiers, bought children’s books with lots of words, sat by his incubator door and read to him for hours on end.

“After I became comfortable talking so much, I began verbally telling stories…and then just having full out conversations with him. Cameron and I created the closest bond two people can ever have. No matter where I was in a crowded room, if Cameron could hear my voice, he would turn his head and look all over just to find me.”

After Cameron passed away, Sara and Jason Quartiers founded Project Cameron’s Story to support the bonding of parents with their premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), through the use of children’s literature and storytelling. Their mission is to place a brand new, quality, children’s book in the hands of every parent of a premature baby upon admission to the NICU. Beech-Nut employees have been donating books to Project Cameron’s Story for over 10 years.

Other Annual Giving Traditions That Support the Causes We Care About

Each year, our employees take part in several meaningful fundraising traditions that reflect the other causes important to our team and our community. These employee-led fundraising opportunities allow us to contribute to a wide range of organizations throughout the year.

Employee & Family Art Show and Auction: Creativity took center stage this year during our Employee & Family Art Show and Auction. Artwork from employees and their family members filled our space with color, imagination, and talent. More importantly, the event raised funds to support Creative Connections Clubhouse, a local organization that offer youths safe place to develop life-enhancing skills and create lasting positive relationships with others.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Every October, employees wear pink and participate in fundraising to support an organization dedicated to breast cancer awareness, scientific research, or patient support services. This year, the team supported St. Mary’s Healthcare, Rao Outpatient Pavilion, helping fund patient services and preventative testing right here in our local community.

Heart Month: In February, our team wore red and raised funds for the American Heart Association, supporting heart‑health research and community education.
