Beech-Nut has long-lasting roots in organic foods. We first launched an organic baby food line in 1991 called Special Harvest. Since then, we have prioritized increasing our organic food offerings and providing access to organic recipes throughout the U.S.
At Beech-Nut, we partner with certified organic farmers that follow strict national standards set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)—Organic farmers are required to develop organic systems & plans that are approved by USDA-authorized, certifying agents for the raising and tending of their crops.
We are constantly innovating new Organics Jars to provide families with additional varieties and flavors. Our Organics Jars are gently cooked,™ which helps to preserve taste, texture, nutrients and colors of our ingredients.
Natural vs. Organic
Here at Beech-Nut, we offer both Beech-Nut Naturals® & Beech-Nut Organics lines of baby food jars. Both of these lines provide families with high quality, delicious recipes that do not include any artificial or synthetic preservatives, colors, flavors, nor added salts & sweeteners.
Organic foods prioritize farming practices that do not use genetically modified organisms (GMOs**) and minimize the use of synthetic fertilizers. Organic baby foods have to meet rigorous USDA standards in order to be classified as organic.
Our Beech-Nut Organics jars are certified organic by Oregon Tilth.
