Lactation Cookies

Lactation Cookies

 

A perfect recipe for breastfeeding mothers! These cookies are delicious and with ingredients like brewer’s yeast, fenugreek pills, wheat flour & oats, they can also help maintain or even boost your milk supply.

 

What you need (makes about 36 cookies):

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour 
  • 1/4 cup brewer’s yeast
  • 8 fenugreek pills (casings removed)
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs 
  • 3 Beech-Nut Organics banana, cinnamon & granola jars 
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Mix flour, brewers yeast, fenegreek powder, oats, baking soda, and salt. Set aside for later use.
  4. Beat softened butter with brown and white sugar.
  5. Add eggs, Beech-Nut jars and vanilla to egg/sugar mixture.
  6. Add dry mixture to wet mixture.
  7. Add chocolate chips to cookie dough and mix thoroughly. mixed ingredients in bowl
  8. Use mini cookie scoop to plop cookie dough onto cookie sheet. dough scooped on baking sheet
  9. Use a spoon to slightly flatten and spread out each cookie. flattened cookies on baking tray
  10. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven, allow to cool then enjoy!Lactation Cookies
