What is SNAP?

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly referred to as SNAP, is a federal nutrition assistance program that provides food benefits to low-income families to supplement their grocery budget. The benefits afford families the ability to purchase nutritious foods that are essential to health and well-being.

Why was SNAP funding at risk?

The government shut down had paused SNAP funding for millions and will have lasting effects. Without federal support, many SNAP recipients did not receive their monthly benefits, which they rely on to purchase groceries and feed their families. Even though the shutdown has ended, food insecurity remains an issue for many families.

Can I use this offer if I don’t qualify for SNAP?
